GASP in the middle of the buzz of Perceptions 2016 Creative Fair

Yvonne Condon walked around and drew portraits of guests... giving them as gifts in the spot.

GASP shared about their Infusion Art Cafe project with Ide Ni Shuilleabhain showing her coffee drawings while visiters could add coffee to their creative works. John Keating demonstrated his etching technique and the public could make their own prints.

John Whelan, David Connolly and Rosaleen Moore all engaged the public with their painting techniques.

GASP also showed films of their work with artists Mick O'Shea, Derek Foott and film maker Linda Curtin.

A busy afternoon with lots of interesting encounters.

PERCEPTIONS 2016 THE ART OF CITIZENSHIP

GASP artists are thrilled to have  been selected to show work in the upcoming exhibition Perceptions 2016: The Art of Citizenship organised by the Crawford Art Gallery, CIT Crawford College of Art and Design and Cork City Council Arts Office. This event aims to broaden the range of voices, visions, perceptions and approaches to creativity that the public engages with in cultural venues.

Rosaleen's exhibition will be taken down on Thursday 30th of June, try and get along to see it before then.

 Kathleen's exhibition ends on Friday the 1st of July, go and see it at Blackpool Library this week.

EXPANDING REALITIES CORK WORKSHOP IS OVER AND PERCEPTIONS 2016 IS ON THE HORIZON.

Friday saw the close of the Expanding Realities workshops in Cork, the third and final workshop of the series. There was an impressive level of openness, creativity, experimentation and exchange from the artists involved. The partners will continue to work together. Artists from all partners will represented in the Perceptions 2016  exhibition in September this year. There will also be representation of the journey of the workshops. This will provide a setting for workshops for the public to engage with the creative process of the workshops and collaborations.
